Day 24 of being gluten-free

In my previous blog, I was really struggling to a point where I wanted to give up on the challenge. It’s time for some tough  love, or “teff” love.  I had to step back and realize that I need to be ok with being uncomfortable.   To not give up and focus on the positive aspects of this challenge. For example, I feel so much better especially with my joints. Everyday I find that stomach feels flatter. I also reached my month weigh goal. Nothing worth having comes easy. I want to healthier, I want to slimmer, and  I still want that 6-pack of abs.

As for the other “Teff Love,” for my final week of being gluten-free. I thought I would incorporate organic teff grains.  Teff grains originates from Africa, it is gluten-free, and Dr. Sebi approved. Every week of challenge, I switched the grains up to keep from getting bore, and to see how my body reacts to each type of gluten-free grain.  Here is another TMI moment about to unfold, but when I first used the teff grains, I could not stop pooping. The first two days it was borderline diarrhea. Now my body is finally adjusting to the grain and it’s not so bad with the bowel moments anymore. If Teff is in your budget, I would highly recommend trying it out.  I put it in my soup once and I personally didn’t like it in that form. However I really enjoyed it in the “Dr Sebi Approved Alkaline Vegan Vegetable Soup,” by Modest Vegan Chik (However, I still never had a chance to add the chickpeas in it.)
