Week 3 of 52 of the “Change your life in one year” challenge

In week three of the challenge, the food was amazing. Monday's meal was a Portabella mushroom burger with sautéed kale and mashed butternut squash. For the rest of the week, I had sautéed portobello mushrooms strips with sweet onions and peppers, seasoned with thyme, onion powder, and smoked sea salt, paired with gluten-free vegan macaroni and cheese and a garden salad. On the weekend, I had a hero sandwich with the same mushrooms, guacamole, and romaine lettuce. My liquid brunch was a mango and mixed berries smoothie. I also made a custom bowl when I went outside for lunch using  Dr. Sebi's ingredients and used hummus as a dressing.

This week, I tried a new recipe from the Fatty Alkaline cookbook: the Kamut Cereal Bar. It was sweet and crunchy, similar to a Rice Krispy treat, and now a staple for me, especially when traveling. I'm on a weight loss and healing journey, and these meals were so tasty that I didn't feel the urge to eat out, even when traveling. This is the first time I haven't felt deprived, and my mindset is changing. Instead of daydreaming about junk food, I'm thinking of meals from home and making some of these dishes for my family. I hope this mindset continues moving forward, I DON’T want to go back to my old way of eating. It don’t serve me in anyway.
