Day 16 of being gluten-free

Usually I would start food prep on Sunday, Monday the latest. It was Valentine’s on Sunday and I was out for the entire day. Monday I did a youTube post and a Memorial in Harlem for Cicely Tyson. Tuesday, aka Day 16, a minor family emergency came up and I had to problem solve. With that all that being said, NO food prep has been done yet. Yesterday was the craziest day of this challenge so far. For breakfast I had the ginger shot with 3 cups of spring water. I had no lunch, no dinner, and no snacks because I ran out the house no realizing that I forgot to drink my morning smoothie, and I forget to bring my figs.

When I finally returned home at 8:00pm, I finally had my first taste of solid food, my favorite Turkish Figs (affiliate link.) I ate about 4 servings, and I had a grain bowl of arugula, quinoa, avocado, roasted onions and peppers. I also added “Alkaline Electric Butter” from the Ty’s Conscious Kitchen website. Note: I didn’t heat up the butter since it consist of coconut oil, and you should not heat up coconut oil according to Dr. Sebi, however I added it to the cooked quinoa and allowed it to melt that way. It was a little dry, so I added some coconut aminos as well. It was a good meal, and I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to NOT lose control even though I had no food for close to 24 hours. It lets me know that I am getting stronger in the area of discipline and self-control.
